Getting the Best Logo Source File
The better your source image, the better your embroidery result. In order of preference:
- 1PNG with transparent background — ideal. Clean edges, no background to remove.
- 2High-resolution PNG or BMP with solid white background — very good.
- 3SVG vector file — excellent if you have it; SewFlow accepts SVG directly.
- 4High-quality JPEG — works well for bold logos.
- 5Low-res or compressed JPEG — still usable, but edge quality is lower.
Converting Your Logo to an Embroidery File

- 2Upload your logo file.
- 3If your logo has a background, enable background removal. SewFlow will isolate the logo artwork.
- 4Set the design size. Common logo sizes: left chest — 90 mm wide; cap front — 60–70 mm wide; back jacket — 200–250 mm wide.
- 5Choose your embroidery machine format (JEF, DST, or PES).
- 6Preview the stitch simulation. Look for clean outlines and even fill density.

- •Embroidery works best with 2–8 colors. If your logo has gradients, they'll be converted to flat fill regions.
- •Very thin lines (under 1 mm when stitched) may not be visible. Thicken strokes in your image if possible.
- •Small text in logos may stitch poorly below 5 mm height — enlarge the design to preserve readability.
- •High-contrast logos with bold, clear shapes digitize most successfully.
- •When stitching on caps or polos, aim for simple, solid shapes.
