When a client or designer sends you a logo, it often arrives as a PDF. Embroidery machines can't read PDFs, but the artwork inside one is usually high quality — so with one quick conversion step you can turn it into a JEF, DST, or PES file using SewFlow.
Step 1: Turn the PDF Into an Image
- •On Mac: open the PDF in Preview, then File → Export and choose PNG with a high resolution (300 dpi+).
- •On Windows: open the PDF, take a screenshot of the artwork, or use a free 'PDF to PNG' tool.
- •On any device: many free online PDF-to-PNG converters do this in one click — just export at the highest resolution offered.
- •If the PDF contains a vector logo, exporting at a large size keeps the edges crisp.
Step 2: Convert the Image to Embroidery
- 1Open sewflow.com/image and upload your PNG.
- 2Use background removal to isolate the logo from any white page background.
- 3Set the design size and choose JEF, DST, or PES.
