Lettering controls made for embroidery
Unlike a simple image of text, SewFlow uses pre-digitized satin paths with stitch structure already built into each character. Text size controls letter height, line height controls multi-line spacing, and the hoop remains an independent visual guide.
Lettering layout tips
- Keep important wording concise so the sewn letter height remains easy to read.
- Use line breaks for dates, roles, or short secondary lines instead of forcing one very wide row.
- Center alignment is useful for labels and keepsakes; left alignment works well for longer wording.
- Check punctuation and accented letters against the selected font's published character coverage.
Fonts to try
Every font card uses metadata and artwork from the shipped satin font catalog.
Frequently asked questions
Can I create multi-line embroidery text?
Yes. Add a line break in the text field, then choose left, center, or right alignment and adjust line height.
What is satin lettering?
Satin lettering uses closely spaced zigzag stitches across each letter column. The fonts on these pages contain pre-digitized stitch paths rather than relying on a normal screen font.
Can I change the thread colour?
Yes. After the preview loads, select the thread swatch and choose another machine-thread colour before downloading.
