Baby Lock Embroidery Guide: Formats, Models & Tips

Baby Lock embroidery machines: native formats, which file to use, and how to make designs free.

Baby Lock makes popular embroidery machines, and getting designs onto them starts with the right file format. This guide covers Baby Lock's native formats, which SewFlow output to choose, and how to create machine-ready designs for free.

    Baby Lock File Formats

Baby Lock machines typically use PES files. With SewFlow, export your design as PES — a widely compatible format that Baby Lock machines read reliably. If your specific model supports another format, choose the closest match in the export menu.

How to Make a Design for Your Baby Lock Machine

    1. 1Open SewFlow at sewflow.com/image for artwork or sewflow.com/text for lettering.
    2. 2Upload your image and remove the background, or type and style your text.
    3. 3Set the design size and choose PES in the Output Format menu.
    4. 4Click Preview Stitches to check the design.
    5. 5Download the file, copy it to a USB stick, and load it on your machine.
