Why clean logos convert well
Flat logos already separate the artwork into clear colour regions, which gives the stitch tracer strong edges to follow. SewFlow maps those regions to thread colours, builds fills and outlines, removes tiny machine-unsafe details, and lets you edit the result before download.
Prepare your logo
- Use a transparent PNG or a clean SVG when available.
- Remove taglines and very small legal text that will not sew at the intended size.
- Limit gradients and subtle shadows; embroidery works best with distinct thread-colour blocks.
- Confirm thin lines remain visible in the stitch preview before using the final file.
Frequently asked questions
What logo file gives the best embroidery result?
A transparent PNG or flat-colour SVG usually gives the cleanest edges. High-resolution JPG logos also work, but compression can add edge noise.
Will gradients look exactly like the logo?
No. Machine embroidery uses discrete thread colours, so SewFlow simplifies gradients into stitchable colour regions rather than reproducing pixels exactly.
Can I edit the digitized logo?
Yes. You can remove the background, recolour regions, hide layers, erase stitches, adjust stitch settings, and move the design into Studio.
Is logo digitizing free?
Creating, previewing, and saving the design is free. Downloading the machine file requires a paid plan or bonus credit.
