Creating JEF files from artwork
JEF is used by Janome Memory Craft and Skyline series machines, plus Elna eXpressive models. SewFlow digitizes the image into stitches first, then writes those stitch commands into the selected machine format. Copy the .jef file into the EMBF folder on a USB stick and open it from the machine's built-in file browser.
JEF file checklist

- Confirm the sewn width and height fit the physical hoop you plan to use.
- Review the thread-colour sequence in the stitch preview before transferring the file.
- Test stitch on matching fabric and stabilizer before sewing the final item.
